Summary:

Set in Western Europe, 1501, this epic of romance and of passion for wealth and power tells the story of Martin, the chief of a band of mercenaries who win a battle for Arnolfini, their leader, but then are betrayed. Seeking revenge they abduct Arnolfini's daughter-in-law to-be, Agnes, from a convent, but she in turn manipulates Martin. From true love or in order to survive?
